Energizer conducts Schick Hydro contest

Energizer Personal Care has begun an online promotion for its Schick Hydro brand of men's razors. The initiative takes the form of a contest conducted through Facebook, during which men are invited to upload a photograph of their smoothest face and a smooth one-liner relating to a theme of the week. Fourteen weekly prizes of $250 will be awarded. The "Hydro Face Contest" is part of a larger campaign for the brand called the "14 Day Challenge," which includes another draw for one of 14 trips to Las Vegas, or one of 14 Apple IPads. The initiative also includes national media relations, giveaways and product sampling activities conducted by Paradigm Public Relations and 6Degrees Integrated Communications. "We want to see your smoothest look, the look you give the ladies when you want them to know you are interested," said Josh Gardner, Schick brand manager at Energizer Canada. "Schick Hydro users are spontaneous, savvy, constantly connected with friends and, above all else, dedicated to staying smooth. This contest allows them to show Canada what they have and teach their ways to fellow students of smooth."
