Cineplex Entertainment rebrands digital signage division

Cineplex Entertainment of Toronto has rebranded digital signage subsidiary Digital Display & Communications as Cineplex Digital Solutions. Cineplex acquired the company in July 2010. It specializes in digital signage located in retail, financial, hospitality and entertainment venues in North America. "Our service model networks, combined with Cineplex Digital Media's advertising model networks, sales force and entertainment content provide significant opportunities for future growth," said Stuart Kirkpatrick, president of Cineplex Digital Solutions. In related news, Labatt Breweries of Canada has signed an agreement with the company to install an additional 170 32-inch in-store digital advertising displays in western Canada beer retailers. The brewer already has 500 such displays in place. Also, Canucks Sports & Entertainment has retained the company to develop a digital signage strategy for the Rogers Arena in Vancouver.
