Whirlpool Canada resumes Great Green Challenge

Appliance company Whirlpool Canada has begun a promotion called the "Great Green Challenge" for a second year in support of its line of Energy Star qualified products. During the initiative, three Canadian families will attempt to reduce their energy usage. Each family has been outfitted with a collection of Whirlpool, Maytag and KitchenAid appliances. They will blog about their experiences at <http://www.greatgreenchallenge.ca> and in French at <http://www.legranddefivert.ca> until Feb. 11. The promotion also includes a Facebook page at which consumers are invited to leave comments. The program was developed by Toronto-based Harbinger Communications, which is also conducting a national public relations campaign in support of the campaign.
