Telus begins Like to Give campaign

Telus has begun an online campaign called "Like to Give." The initiative, being conducted through Facebook, will run for 12 days. Each day, the company will post the name of a different charity on its Facebook page. If 5,000 visitors indicate that they like the charity by clicking a button, Telus will donate $5,000 to that organization. In addition, visitors will be entered into daily draws for prizes including smartphones, Bluetooth headsets and branded merchandise. Participating charities include Free the Children, Computers for Schools, The Nature Conservancy of Canada, Tree Canada, JDRF, Go Pink, Canadian Centre for Child Protection, Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada, Hockey Canada Foundation, Operation Enfant Soleil, Kids Health Links Foundation and H.E.R.O.S.
