Ontario Association of Optometrists conducts new campaign

The Ontario Association of Optometrists has undertaken a new advertising campaign called "See Your Eye Doctor," intended to encourage residents of the province to consult an optometrist regularly. The campaign includes a website at <>, as well as print ads, online videos, social media activities and a photography contest called "What Catches Your Eye." The initiative was developed by BabyRobot of Toronto. Many Ontarians are still confused about the difference between an optometrist, optician and ophthalmologist," said Barbara Fuller, executive director of the association. "By simply referring to an optometrist as your eye doctor, this campaign clearly supports the positioning of optometrists as the vision health experts and focuses on what a person would normally do to remain proactive about their overall health."
