Frito Lay conducts online promotion for SunChips

Toronto-based Frito Lay Canada has begun a campaign for its SunChips snack line. The creative focuses on the noise made by the compostable bag. The company is inviting consumers to test the noise made by the bag and them visit the brand's Facebook page to leave their comments. Consumers who who the bag is too noisy will receive a free set of earplugs. "The new SunChips compostable bag has caused quite a lot of noise for being noisy," said Tony Matta, vice president of marketing at Frito Lay Canada. "We've had a record number of calls and emails to our office since we launched in February of this year and despite what you may have heard, SunChips is and always was keeping the bag here in Canada. We believe that trading off a little noise in order to help shrink our footprint on the planet is worth it." Frito Lay Canada is part of PepsiCo Foods Canada.
