Magazines Canada readies industry magazine

Magazines Canada is preparing to launch a print publication aimed at magazine publishing managers. The semi-annual, bilingual publication, called Canadian Magazines Canadiens, will focus on innovations in magazine publishing intended to bring growth to the industry. "This project will celebrate the continuing success, innovation and bright future of print magazines here at home and around the world," said Barbara Zatyko, publisher and general manager of Magazines Canada. "At the same time, the content will clearly demonstrate how Canadian magazines today are fully integrated digital media enterprises taking leading edge approaches to the evolution of this vital creative industry." The magazine will be distributed to 3,000 publishing professionals nationally and internationally.
