Virgin Atlantic Airways releases new international commercial

US-based Virgin Atlantic Airways as released its first global television commercial. The ad, which uses the tagline "Your airline's either got it or it hasn't," depicts a Virgin Atlantic flight to London in a way described by the company as "surreal and glamorous." The ad also features music from rock band Muse. The 30- and 60-second ads were developed by RKCR/Y&R. The commercial is part of the airline's ongoing $25 million international ad campaign that began with print and online advertising in May. "The spot captures the spirit of the brand with its dynamic energy and unique way of showcasing our award-winning services and products, from complimentary ice cream to our individual upper class suites," said Chris Rossi, senior vice-president for North America at Virgin Atlantic. "This piece will resonate with our current fan base and underline why they continue to fly on Virgin Atlantic, while simultaneously, exciting those travelers who are looking for a flight experience that offers more."
