Labatt, Boston Pizza begin NFL contest promotion

Labatt has begun a joint promotion with Boston Pizza in support of its Budweiser brand. The promotion takes the form of a 15-week contest. Each weekly winner will receive a trip for two to an NFL football game of their choice, and be entered into a draw for the grand prize of a trip to Super Bowl XLV in Dallas. To enter, consumers must visit a Boston Pizza location and take photographs of themselves in front of a branded backdrop. Entrants must then submit the photos to the Boston Pizza Facebook page. Public voting will determine the weekly winners, while a random draw will determine the grand prize winner. "Budweiser Canada is looking forward to working with Boston Pizza, in association with the NFL, to create a unique and exciting social media-based program," said Heather Morrison, customer marketing manager for Budweiser. "We know this program will really engage Budweiser fans and Boston Pizza consumers throughout the entire 2010 football season."
