Workopolis conducts Work from Home Day promotion

Career website Workopolis has begun a promotion intended to establish a National Work from Home Day in Canada. The initiative takes the form of a petition hosted on a Facebook page. Canadians are encouraged to add their names to this petition. The company hopes to persuade a Member of Parliament to introduce legislation that would formalize a National Work from Home Day. "We believe that working from home can be a refreshing change from being in the office," said Peter Harris, content manager at Workopolis. "Instead of water cooler chats, you can chat with your family and instead of braving a spirit-shattering commute, you get an extra hour in bed." The company is supporting the promotion with Facebook and print advertising.
