Toronto-based Environics Analytics has released an updated financial database called WealthScapes 2010 that measures the assets, liabilities and wealth of Canadians. The database features approximately 80 financial and investment statistics at the census dissemination area level drawn from sources including the Bank of Canada, Statistics Canada and the Canada Revenue Agency. These statistics include average net worth, income distribution, disposable and discretionary income, savings by type, investments by type, mortgages, loans, lines of credit and credit card accounts. "WealthScapes has already proven itself in the marketplace as a valuable source of data on the assets and liabilities for every neighbourhood in Canada," said Catherine Pearson, leader of the financial services practice at Environics Analytics. "With the latest edition, WealthScapes 2010 can help businesses and not-for-profits better understand the impact of the recovery on their customers and markets."
