Toronto-based Rogers Communications has signed a sponsorship agreement with Cirque du Soleil of Montreal to become the official wireless services provider of the performance troupe during its 2010-2011 Canadian tour. As part of the sponsorship, Rogers will conduct a series of events for its customers, including a showing of the troupe's Totem show in Montreal attended by 2,500 winners of a contest. "In the past, Rogers provided us with very innovative wireless solutions," said Daniel Lamarre, president and CEO of Cirque du Soleil. "Rogers is now the official sponsor of our 2010-2011 Canadian Tour. We are confident that Rogers will provide the necessary support to increase the reach of our shows and our artists across the country."
