Rogers acquires naming rights to Canucks arena
By Adnews Staff
Rogers Communications has signed a 10-year agreement for the naming rights to the arena where the Vancouver Canucks play. The venue, owned by Canucks Sports & Entertainment, will now be known as Rogers Arena. The agreement also makes Rogers the telecommunications sponsor of the team. This will include branding and advertising exposure consisting of on-ice, in-building and rink board signage, as well as material on the Canucks.com website, interactive concourse displays and mobile applications. "This is an important strategic alliance," said Nadir Mohamed, president and CEO of Rogers Communications. "BC is a critical market for Rogers and this announcement further enhances our investment in the province and builds on our powerful sports legacy."
