Media City buys out-of-home division of Media Alternatives
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based Media City has acquired the out-of-home division of Media Alternatives. Media City specializes in advertising displays in office towers, including external and internal elevator wraps, revolving door ads and lobby displays. The company also operates an inventory of mirror-based ad displays in restaurants and bars in association with Add Mirror Canada. The acquisition includes a national sales team operating out of Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver, as well as two media properties: Elevate Medical and Elevate Shopping. Media Alternatives has handled advertising sales representation for Media City's products since 2001. "We've had an excellent and long-standing relationship with Media Alternatives OOH over the last decade," said Media City CEO Sylvio Deluca. "Unifying the company, the products and the people under one brand is not only natural but makes us stronger and better focused as we continue to grow Media City." Deluca was most recently executive vice-president of Media Alternatives. The television division of Media Alternatives will continue to operate under its own name and is not part of the transaction. No financial details are available.
