Iris conducts Sun Event campaign
By Adnews Staff
Vancouver-based eye care company Iris The Visual Group has begun a summer campaign called "Sun Event" to promote its collection of sunglasses. The campaign features actress Kim Cattrall as its spokesperson in national newspaper ads, as well as in-store materials and provincial radio advertising. The campaign also includes a contest component, the winner of which will receive a five-day trip for four to New York City. The campaign was developed by Halloran:Etcetera Advertising. Public relations are being conducted by Hill & Knowlton Canada. "There is no doubt that Canadians love the sunshine, but they need to remember it can be harmful to their eyes if they don't wear high quality sunglasses that protect against UV rays," said Francis Jean, president and CEO of Iris. "Through this campaign, we’re appealing to people's fashion sensibilities to get them into an Iris location where they can also learn more about how to keep their eyes healthy." The campaign will run until the end of the month.
