Prostate Cancer Canada begins awareness campaign

Prostate Cancer Canada of Toronto has begun an awareness campaign called "What's your Number?" intended to encourage Canadian men to have a prostate specific antigen blood test at age 40. The campaign, developed by Stellick Marketing & Communications of Toronto, consists of newspaper, transit and online advertising in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and Halifax. The initiative began with teaser ads, followed by creative that added the website address <http://www.whatsyournumber.info>. The full campaign began yesterday. "One in six Canadian men will be diagnosed with this disease in their lifetime," said Rebecca von Goetz, marketing vice-president at Prostate Cancer Canada. "A PSA test combined with a digital rectal examination is the best early detection tool we have."
