Torres Media has signed an agreement with CHUM Radio Sales to handle advertising sales representation for its new Ottawa station 101.9 Dawg FM. The station, which will launch in the early summer, will play a mix of mainstream rock, blues rock, Motown and R&B music intended to appeal primarily to adults between the ages of 35 and 54. "This is a great new format for Ottawa that will offer advertisers unique exposure to an audience not currently being served in the region," said Breydon MacDonald, general manager of CHUM Radio Sales. CHUM Radio is a division of CTVglobemedia.
Environmental news website Mongabay.com has signed an online advertising sales agreement with Uptrend Media of Toronto. Uptrend will now be the exclusive sales representative of the site in Canada. "Our primary goal for the site has been environmental education," said Rhett Butler, founder of Mongaby.com. "Partnering with Uptrend allows Mongabay.com to continue to educate viewers, while also connecting them advertisers that care about the same eco-issues."
