Alliance Films begins Lord of the Rings contest

Alliance Films has begun a promotion in association with Teletoon and Domino's Pizza in support of the upcoming release of The Lord of the Rings film trilogy on Blu-Ray disc. The promotion takes the form of a contest that began on March 21 and will continue until April 13. Three winners will receive seven-day trips to London, England. One hundred trilogy box sets will also be distributed as secondary prizes. The contest is being promoted with 30-second commercials during the "Teletoon at Night" programming block. The ads direct viewers to a contest website at <http://www.teletoonatnight.com>. Domino's Pizza is promoting the contest in its 300 Canadian retail locations with counter-top displays, pizza box–top ads, posters and other signage. In addition, consumers who enter the contest will receive a Domino's coupon that can be redeemed when placing an online order. Teletoon Canada is owned by Astral Media and Corus Entertainment.
