Taco Bell Canada begins loonie campaign

Fast food chain Taco Bell Canada has begun an advertising campaign to promote a special offer on its Mini Crunchwrap Supreme menu item, which will be available for one dollar until May 23. The campaign, developed by Y&R, consists of a television commercial featuring an animated loon. The ad is running on nationally on major networks, supported by in-store materials, public relations and social media activities by Isobar Canada. Media buying was handled by ZenithOptimedia. "Taco Bell has always offered Canadians bold, flavourful meals at great value," said Camille Krupa, senior marketing manager at Taco Bell Canada. "We think the Mini Crunchwrap is perfect for those who want big taste for small change." Taco Bell is a subsidiary of Yum Brands.
