Astral Media Outdoor adds digital billboards in Toronto, Vancouver

Astral Media Outdoor has launched a national inventory of digital out-of-home displays. The new signs in Vancouver and Toronto are in addition to the 10 digital boards already installed in Montreal. The signs use light emitting diodes to display six static colour images in rotation at 10-second intervals. The creative is controlled from a central location in Montreal. The Montreal billboards measure 14' by 48'. Nine billboards 10' by 34' in size have been installed in Vancouver. Three billboards measuring 14' by 48' are currently operating in Toronto. "Advertisers now have access to the latest outdoor advertising technology in Canada's top three advertising markets," said Luc Sabbatini, president of Astral Media Outdoor. "Our digital board technology provides valuable savings to advertisers by eliminating the cost of printing and installation. We are confident that advertisers will embrace the new technology in British Columbia and Ontario, just as they have in Quebec."
