Retail chain Rona has signed a five-year sponsorship agreement with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment to become the official home improvement retailer of the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Toronto Raptors and the Toronto Marlies. Rona is already a sponsor of the Toronto FC soccer team. The agreement includes camera-visible Rona branding at the Air Canada Centre and the Ricoh Coliseum, as well as promotions in which in-store customers can win tickets to games. Rona will also participate in the community activities of the teams. "The Maple Leafs, Marlies, Raptors and Toronto FC are an inspiration and source of pride for so many people, not just in Ontario, but all across Canada," said Robert Dutton, president and CEO of Rona. "In addition, the Raptors and Toronto FC are the only Canadian teams in their respective leagues, so we are especially proud to give them our support."
