Rust-Oleum hires GCI Canada

Toronto-based paint company Rust-Oleum Consumer Brands Canada has hired GCI Canada, also based in Toronto, to handle its public relations. The agency will work in association with ad agency Jan Kelley Marketing to develop a new campaign called "Just Like New, Just Like That." The campaign will promotes various Rust-Oleum product lines, including Universal, Stoneffects, Painter's Touch and Varathane. The assignment will include social media activities, media relations and consumer programs. "GCI Canada is known for their strong portfolio of consumer and lifestyle brands so we have confidence that with their wealth of experience they would be able to offer up great ideas and find creative ways to reach our target audiences," said Lawrence Genga, marketing director at Rust-Oleum. "GCI has an excellent understanding of traditional ways to reach consumers while also incorporating integrated solutions that leverage new media opportunities."
