Awards show roundup

The Sponsorship Marketing Council of Canada distributed its fifth annual Sponsorship Marketing Awards last week in Toronto. Quebec brewery Unibroue won the Best in Show award for its sponsorship of Quebec City's 400th anniversary. The initiative also received a gold award in the Special Interest category. Other gold award winners included Coca-Cola for its "Coca-Cola Zero Fans First Game" program, Cadillac's sponsorship of the Toronto International Film Festival, Campbell Company's sponsorship of Help Hunger Disappear, The Becel "Heart Truth" campaign for the Heart & Stroke Foundation, and Kraft's "Hockeyville" initiative.
