ING Insurance becomes Intact Insurance
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based financial company ING Canada plans to rebrand its subsidiary ING Insurance Company of Canada as Intact Insurance. The move follows the acquisition last week of ING Groep's ownership interest in ING Canada by a group of Canadian institutional and retail investors. "By becoming a truly Canadian and independent organization, we have the unique opportunity to launch a new brand that speaks to what consumers are looking for from an insurance company, and a brand that reinforces our customer orientation," said Charles Brindamour, president and CEO of ING Canada. The new brand will roll-out nationally over several weeks, supported by a marketing and advertising campaign. ING Canada itself plans to change its name to Intact Financial Corporation in May, following the approval of its shareholders.
