Virgin Mobile Canada begins smartphone campaign

Cell phone provider Virgin Mobile Canada has begun a marketing campaign promoting its smartphones to non-business customers. The campaign, developed by Zig of Toronto, includes television, radio, print, online and point-of-sale advertising. "Virgin Mobile's new smartphones allow you to listen to music, surf the web, share photos and access your calendar," said Martin Beauvais, executive creative director at Zig. "We capture that vibrancy and on-the-go energy in the creative to demonstrate how Virgin Mobile is a different mobile experience." The national campaign broke on Dec. 1 and will run until the end of the year. French-language adaptation was conducted by Headspace Marketing. Media buying was handled by Wills & Co.
