Dose.ca conducts magazine campaign

Entertainment news website Dose.ca has begun a new magazine advertising campaign. The three ads depict likenesses of Paris Hilton, Tom Cruise and Amy Winehouse made out of unusual materials. The first ad features an image of Hilton formed from used chewing gum along with the headline, "Chew them up, spit them out." The campaign, developed by Rethink Communications of Vancouver, is running in Vancouver and Toronto in magazines including Vice, ION, Now, Exclaim, Naked Eye and the Georgia Straight. "People who love celebrity news love watching stars rise-and fall," said Rethink partner Rob Tarry. "We wanted to position Dose.ca as the site that's refreshingly honest." Dose.ca is owned by Canwest Global Communications.
