Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism conducts Get Carried Away promotion
By Adnews Staff
Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism has begun a campaign called "Get Carried Away" in Toronto. During the campaign, which will run for three weeks, a branded vehicle resembling a taxi will offer free rides to pedestrians in the downtown area. The interior contains bottled Newfoundland and Labrador spring water as well as a touch screen that displays footage of the province. The driver of the car will also answer questions about the province during the ride. Consumers will also be able to enter a draw for a trip for two to the province by visiting <http://www.getcarriedaway.ca>. "This is a chance to have some fun with our tourism marketing campaign and give people a taste of Newfoundland and Labrador," said Clyde Jackman, the province's Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation. "The vehicle is a great way to convey our creativity, friendliness, and hospitality, at a time when people dealing with the peak summer season in Toronto could really use some comfort."
