Corus Entertainment introduces in-flight W Network

Corus Entertainment has launched a W Network-branded channel on the in-flight video system of Air Canada. The channel is being operated in association with in-flight entertainment company Spafax Canada. The channel offers programming including Take This House and Sell It, Style By Jury, Divine Design, Maxed Out, Shopping Bags, Colour Confidential, Save Us from Our House and The Smart Woman Survival Guide. According to the company, this is the airline's only in-flight channel aimed specifically at women. "We're very excited about this marketing opportunity," said Shelley Findlay, vice-president of marketing for women's specialty television at Corus. "It's a unique way to build awareness of W Network and its programming. Bringing W's programs to audiences at 35,000 feet is a first for the network and it provides consumers with an alternative platform to sample W's wide-ranging assortment of entertaining and informative programming."
