Veritas Communications introduces social media division

Veritas Communications of Toronto has launched a new division called Com.motion that will specialize in using social media outlets such as blogs, Facebook.com and YouTube.com. The division is headed by Keith McArthur, who previously reported on marketing at the Globe and Mail. Its services include blogger relations, online reputation management and social media campaigns. "It is astounding that one in two executives say social media is becoming even more important than television," said McArthur. "TV advertising is still where marketers spend most of their money, while social media represents a tiny sliver of the budget. It's clear that's going to change."
