DDB Canada of Toronto has been named the winner of The Globe and Mail Creative Competition. The contest invited participants to submit campaigns that used the newspaper medium in innovative ways. The winning campaign, for Canadian Blood Services, used white space in an obituary column to represent lives that have been saved through blood donations. DDB Canada will receive $200,000 in media space to run the campaign in The Globe and Mail and associated properties starting in May. The creative team and client will also travel to the 2007 Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival in June.
