Steelback Brewery of Tiverton, ON has signed on as the new title sponsor of the Grand Prix of Toronto auto race. The event, which will now be called the Steelback Grand Prix of Toronto, will next take place from July 6 to 8. “In Steelback, we’ve secured a dedicated, enthusiastic title sponsor who shares our vision of what this event can be and who will work hand-in-hand with us to make the vision come to life,” said Charlie Johnstone, president and CEO of the Grand Prix Association of Toronto. The agreement includes marketing support consisting of advertising during prime television programs such as “Hockey Night In Canada” and retail packaging promotions on Steelback products by which consumers will be able to win tickets to the event. Promotion will also take place in several hundred bars and restaurants in southern Ontario. “This event is Ontario’s largest annual sporting event of the summer and it was a natural fit for Steelback Brewery,” said Frank D’Angelo, president and CEO of Steelback Brewery. “D’Angelo Brands joined the event last year as a sponsor. What we saw was a landmark Toronto event that delivers an amazing weekend for visitors while putting Toronto on the international sports stage.”
