Award show roundup

The Toronto-based Radio Marketing Bureau held its 2007 Crystal Awards last week. The platinum best-in-show award went to a campaign for grocery chain Sobey’s created by Dory Advertising. This campaign also received the gold award in the Agency Campaign category. Twenty-five awards were distributed in eight categories to recognize outstanding Canadian radio creative. Other gold winners included Maple Leaf Foods and Target Marketing & Communications, the Quebec Coalition Against AIDS and Marketel, the Science Alberta Foundation and MacLaren McCann, the Vancouver Aquarium and DDB Canada, as well as The Beat 94.5 Vancouver, Rogers 91.5 Kitchener and AM 740 Oakville.
