Weber Shandwick Canada launches travel and lifestyle marketing practice

Toronto-based Weber Shandwick Canada has created a new travel and lifestyle marketing practice. The primary client of this new practice is the InterContinental Hotel Group, for which the agency develops communication programs for the Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express chains. “Adding a travel specialty component to Weber Shandwick Canada shows how the agency is constantly expanding and challenging itself to represent a well-rounded variety of clients,” said general manager Kerry Harris. “Our travel and lifestyle marketing practice is unique because it functions as an agency-within-an-agency. We are able to serve the clients needs with the attention of a small boutique agency, yet are backed by the resources of a global agency.” The practice will be headed by Lisa Bednarski, the agency’s consumer sector leader.
