Yellow Pages Group has hired Montreal-based Agence Braque to handle direct marketing for its new subsidiary, Snap Guides. The subsidiary will produce annual thematic issues of several Transcontinental Media consumer magazines, including Style at Home, Good Times and Canadian Living. Each issue will contain magazine editorial and relevant Yellow Pages directory listings. Agence Braque’s first assignment will be to develop direct marketing initiatives in Toronto and Montreal in support of a guide for young families that will be published under the Canadian Living name in April. According to agency president Jean-Marc Demers, the campaign “will allow Snap Guides to determine with greater certainty the most efficient communication tools in the media mix and also to increase the notoriety and awareness of this new, innovative advertising medium among important Canadian advertisers.”
