The AIDS Committee of Toronto has retained MacLaren McCann and GCI Group as its agencies of record for its 2007 Fashion Cares fundraising event. MacLaren McCann will handle advertising, while GCI will conduct public relations, media relations and provide event support. Both agencies are based in Toronto. The ad campaign will include mass advertising, online activities and direct-to-consumer elements. “As a company that epitomizes creativity and social responsibility, MacLaren McCann is a perfect fit for Fashion Cares,” said Rose Mastnak, chair of Fashion Cares 2007. “We are confident that the agency’s work will capture the unique and glamorous Fashion Cares spirit. GCI Group was a natural choice to lead our public relations activity. We were impressed with the agency’s professionalism, strategic thinking, creativity, client service and overwhelming passion for the cause.” The event will take place in Toronto on May 12.
