Vancouver Port Authority begins print campaign

The Vancouver Port Authority has begun a new print advertising campaign intended to create consistent cross-sector branding and promote the benefits that the port brings to the community. This is the first time the authority has used a single advertising concept for all three of its operating sectors: community, cargo and cruise. Each of the executions depicts a commonly-seen object partially replaced by the copy, “Brought to you by the port.” The campaign, developed by Wasserman & Partners Advertising of Vancouver, began in November and will run to the end of 2007. “This campaign is a result of an extensive branding process,” said agency creative director Darren Warner. “The objective was to integrate the brand message for each of the port’s major sectors and show relevant examples of how the Port of Vancouver positively impacts and contributes to the local communities. We used examples of everyday products that arrive in Vancouver as cargo to create clear connections for the general public, consumers and the trade industry.”
