Vancouver Community College promotes music school

Vancouver Community College has begun a new advertising campaign to promote its School of Music. The creative consists of a poster covered with rows of detachable buttons. The buttons display images of musicians, instruments, composers and musical notation symbols. The campaign was developed by Vancouver-based Kaldor Brand Strategy & Design. “Buttons have an iconic status in contemporary music because they’re emblematic of a person’s connection with a certain band, group or musical style,” said Matthew Renton, creative director at Kaldor. “By attaching buttons to the school’s poster, we’re drawing prospective students’ attention to information about the program while giving them a tangible memento to connect with the school.”
