The Bahamas breaks ad campaign in Toronto

The Islands Of The Bahamas has begun a new tourism advertising campaign in Toronto called “Escape from Everyday Life.” The campaign will run on streetcars and radio stations in the city until the end of January 2007. Four streetcars on the King and Queen street lines have been wrapped in island imagery including yachting, beaches, golf and scuba diving. The interiors of the cars displays advertising from participating travel companies. Six radio commercials are airing on Classical 96 FM, 98.1 FM, CHUM FM, Q107, EZ Rock 97.3, Jazz FM and Mix 99.9 FM. The creative profiles six of the 700 islands that make up The Bahamas. “Canadians have a longstanding relationship with The Islands Of The Bahamas,” said Obediah Wilchcombe, Minister of Tourism in The Bahamas. “We are here to roll out the welcome mat and renew our commitment to deliver a first class vacation experience for Canadians.”
