Award show roundup

A campaign created for the United Way of Lower Mainland British Columbia was named Best of Show at the Extra Awards last week. The three-ad campaign was created by DDB Canada. The award show is conducted by the Canadian Newspaper Association to recognize advertising in that medium. DDB Canada also received four gold awards: two for the United Way campaign and two were for a campaign created for the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra. Rethink received five gold medals for work done on behalf of BC Lions, Gold’s Gym, the Greengate Garden Centre and Futureshop. Lowe Roche received two gold awards for work done for Habitat for Humanity. Diesel received a gold award for a Belair Direct campaign.
