Corus, Unilever promote Daniel Cook contest

Corus Television will begin a joint promotion with Unilever today in support of its Lipton Sidekicks brand. The promotion is tied to two children’s television programs that air on Treehouse: “This is Daniel Cook” and “This is Emily Yeung.” During the initiative, which will run until Oct. 22, viewers can enter a draw to appear in an episode of the shows. The two winners will be able to choose between building a robot, visiting a zoo or taking a helicopter ride. The 60-second “mini-episodes” featuring the winners will air on Treehouse in February 2007. The contest will be promoted with 60-second vignettes featuring the show hosts Daniel Cook and Emily Yeung on Treehouse, YTV, W Network and CMT. Ten-second billboards will be used in support. In addition, each of the websites of these channels will link to the contest website at Lipton.ca. The campaign was assembled by PHD Canada in association with Corus, Unilever, Marblemedia and Sinking Ship Entertainment.
