Pinnacle Foods hires Veritas Communications

Pinnacle Foods Canada has hired Toronto-based Veritas Communications to conduct a back-to-school campaign for its Duncan Hines brand of microwave baking products. The campaign included an event in Toronto called the “Back to School Baking Boot Camp” at which a professional pastry chef demonstrated the products. Attendees then replicated these techniques. A group of children then judged the finished products. “The addition of public relations to our marketing mix has given us a more comprehensive and integrated overall brand strategy,” said Linda Fox, marketing manager at Pinnacle Foods. “It has allowed us to increase interaction with our consumers through newsworthy information they can use every day.”
