National Public Relations of Toronto has created a new Baby Boomer Marketing Division. The division will work with market research firm CRA-Cogem to track the opinions and attitudes of Canadian born between 1947 and 1966. CRA-Cogem is an affiliate of Global Public Affairs, the government relations arm of National. According to the agency, this age group currently makes up 40% of the Canadian population over the age of 20. “To date, very few companies have fully realized the immense opportunity boomers offer for their businesses,” said Lina Ko, a partner at National and leader of the new division. “Marketers must consider the needs of boomers now more than ever because this large demographic group will only grow in importance. To make informed and profitable decisions, marketers will need accurate and insightful data.”
