Grafton retires from Wasserman & Partners

Partner and account director Gary Grafton is retiring from Wasserman & Partners Advertising of Vancouver after 30 years in the advertising industry. Grafton was one of the six original partners who founded Wasserman in 1995 with the purchase of Vrlak, Robinson, Hayhurst. Grafton joined Vrlak, Robinson, Hayhurst in 1992, prior to which he spent two years at McKim Advertising. He began his agency career at Vancouver-based Baker Lovick in 1975 as an account executive. By 1990 he had become deputy general manager and senior vice-president. At Wasserman, Grafton did work for clients including Ekati, the Savings and Credit Unions of British Columbia, Pacific Blue Cross, Terasen Gas and WorkSafeBC. He is a past president of the B.C. Chapter of the American Marketing Association and the Advertising Agency Association of British Columbia. He was also chairman of and Wasserman’s representative at Worldwide Partners, a international association of independent agencies.
