CanWest MediaWorks has redesigned its job search website Working.com. The modifications include a new look, simplified navigation, a bigger resources section and improved localized search functions. These include a slider that allows a user to expand or contract the geographic area that will be searched and a keyword thesaurus that matches search terms to job listings. “We analyzed our traffic, surveyed our users and worked with Web usability and interface experts to make our search function simpler and more effective for jobseekers, which ultimately makes the site more successful for employers,” said Kim Peters, general manager of Working.com.
