Kaboose buys

Toronto-based online media company Kaboose has purchased, a US-based website about pregnancy and parenting. Kaboose operates a group of websites aimed at children and families. The company has acquired all outstanding shares of BabyZone for US$22 million plus two million Kaboose warrants. “With the acquisition of BabyZone, Kaboose has an incredibly diverse and robust collection of online assets that serve as a platform to engage families,” said Jason DeZwirek, chief executive officer of Kaboose. “From pregnancy to parenting, birthday parties to scrapbooking and entertainment to education, Kaboose has the content and the applications to help parents plan and share their family life.”
