CanWest prepares promotion for TVtropolis

CanWest MediaWorks is readying a promotional campaign for the launch of a new specialty channel called TVtropolis on June 1. The channel will carry hit television programs from the last 15 years. It will take the place of Prime, a channel with a similar lineup launched by CanWest in 1997. The national media campaign in support of the launch will also begin on June 1. It will introduce the channel’s logo, a set of test pattern colour bars shaped to resemble a city skyline, and the tagline “Hit TV lives here.” According to the company, more details about the launch will be available soon.
