MapInfo updates Canadian demographic information

Demographic information provider MapInfo of Troy, NY has released an update for 2006 to its databases of Canadian information. The demographic and expenditure databases include approximately 1,200 variables related to Canada, including the amount of money spent annually on various categories of goods and services, daytime population estimates by area, discretionary income, net worth and other information. "By using MapInfo's demographic and segmentation data, businesses can achieve a better ROI on their advertising campaign by better targeting specific markets and neighbourhoods according to key demographic components such as average household income or disposable income," said Sebastien Rancourt, product manager at MapInfo. "In addition, companies can roll into updated information for the most accurate and effective way to understand and measure the Canadian demographic landscape."
