Quebec specialty fashion chain Les Boutiques San Francisco Inc. is expanding and moving into southeastern Ontario. The chain purchased 44 swimwear, lingerie and sleepwear stores in Mississauga, London, Kitchener, Ottawa and Quebec at a cost of $15 million. The retailer is also in the midst of acquiring 44 Bikini Village and Moments Intimes stores from Montreal's Jean Gauthier family. It's first Ontario store, scheduled to open this spring, is a menswear store located in the Toronto Eaton Centre. In all, there will be 174 outlets operating under the San Francisco, L'Officiel, Maillots, Frisco, West Coast and Victor Delage titles. Les Boutiques officials were unavailable to confirm who is handling advertising for the company.
