Bell Ontario has chosen two agencies for its Ontario account and its national ExpressVu Inc. business. Cossette Communication-Marketing of Toronto has won the creative and planning portion of the business and BBDO/McKim Media Group has been handed the media buying account worth $60 million account. The agencies were chosen after a review with four other Toronto agencies: MacLaren McCann, Vickers & Benson Advertising, TBWA Chiat/Day and Leo Burnett Co. The incumbents on the business were BBDO, Leo Burnett and Cossette. "Through the integration of ExpressVu's and Bell Canada's advertising efforts, we can effectively communicate to consumers the benefits of bundling ExpressVu with Bell products in the most efficient way," ExpressVu president and CEO Michael Neuman says in a release. Bell Canada and ExpressVu are owned by BCE Inc. of Toronto. Bell is a telecommunications company while ExpressVu is a direct-to-home satellite television company.
