CANADIAN AGENCIES CLEAN UP AT MOBIUS AWARDS

Young & Rubicam of Toronto is the big Canadian winner at the international Mobius Awards. The agency won five gold awards for work it created for H&R Block, Sears Canada, Ford of Canada and Colgate-Palmolive Canada. Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising of Toronto walked away with three gold awards for work it did for The Walt Disney Company (Canada), McNeil Consumer Products and the Canadian Pulp and Paper Association. Other Canadian gold winners were: Padulo Integrated Advertising, Auto Mart Magazine; PNMD Communications, Federation des Producteurs de Lait du Quebec; Leo Burnett Co., VISA Canada; Gee, Jeffery & Partners Advertising, Rogers Cantel; Vickers & Benson Advertising, Bank of Montreal; Grey Advertising, M&M/Mars and Bank of Montreal; Bates Canada, Teledyne Water Pik and Carter Homer. A total of 36 countries submitted over 5,000 entries into the competition. The awards will be presented in Chicago on Feb. 12.
